My name is Erica Allen. I am blessed to call three places on the Eastern Coast my home: Jacksonville, Wilmington, and New Bern. I wads able to stay on ENC for college to attend East Carolina University (Arghhhhh!). At ECU, I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in K-5 Reading. After graduating, I begin my career at VFLE as a long-term sub for Mrs. Pichel in 5th grade and Mrs. Elson in 4th grade. Now, I am in the best grade level with the greatest team- I truly am so thankful and happy that I am at VFLE!
I have one son- he is furry and has four legs- yes, he is a dog, but he does not know that! He's my pride and joy! Some things that make me, me, are- being around my family and friends, kayaking, teaching, traveling anywhere and everywhere, being outdoors, being adventurous, and reading. I have a passion for mission work and any time that I have the opportunity to go on one, I take it in a heartbeat! Teaching is another major passion; everyday is a new and wonderful adventure in the classroom! Teaching is such a humbling and exciting experience. I treasure every moment in the classroom and believe in having a happy and fun environment for my students to learn in.
